This film along with many others in the series are definitive childhood movies for me. I have the most amazing memories attached to these movies. My friends dad setting up the projector outside on a warm summer night and watching them on ‘the big screen’ like they had just been released to the movies.
It is those memories, eating yummy food, being outside barefoot with my friends watching the adventure of a lifetime. Thats meaning that is irreplaceable. Owning the physical VHS tape holds another kind of meaning too because now it is not just a fond memory but a real object that I can keep and hold.
