Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd is an album that has been around me my whole life. Listening to the vinyl with my dad growing up was formative in my love for not only music but vinyl records too. This record was a gift from my dad and it holds a lot meaning to me.
I still listen to this album regularly and it is a very important piece in my collection. What might mean something to someone could mean even more to someone else and this is truly one of a kind. The physical object is what I value, yes because I love hearing the music but also because this is the one version my dad gifted to me and no other version would hold the same meaning.
